Becoming Accredited with A.S.I.

Becoming Accredited by the Association of Supervisors in Ireland involves a rigorous but supportive process designed to uphold the highest standards in supervisory practice.

Accreditation Form is at the bottom of this page.

Accreditation is the essential first step toward Full Membership within A.S.I.
To progress rigorous industry standards, only A.S.I. Accredited individuals can become A.S.I. Full Members, and only Full Members appear in the A.S.I. National Directory of Supervisors.

 

Pathway to Accreditation & Full Membership

 Complete the Accreditation Application Form Below. (There is no upfront fee to pay.)
 If your application is successful, a €60 accreditation fee will be requested via a Stripe link email.

 Once paid, you will be invited to activate your Full Membership via an email (membership is €10 per month).
 Full Members are listed in the National Directory of Supervisors, receive four free training advertisements per year, and gain full access to all member benefits.

Requirements for Accreditation

 Primary Qualification - At least Level 8 QQI in a relevant discipline.
Supervisory Qualification - See Note Below.
 Following Supervision Qualification, at least 50 hours of delivered Supervision.
Connection with your Supervisor.

Agreement to undertake an Accreditation interview via Zoom.

Please complete this form to begin your A.S.I. Accreditation process.


Once your Application meets the A.S.I. accreditation criteria, we’ll send an email requesting,

  • The parchment photos of your Primary & Supervision Qualification.

  • A time that suits you to undertake a short Zoom interview by our panel.

Following a successful interview, we'll send an email requesting payment of the €60 accreditation fee.


Note: Accreditation is the first step toward Full Membership of ASI. Once accredited, we’ll invite you to activate your Full Membership at €10 per month.

Applicants must hold a QQI Level 9 qualification, or an equivalent postgraduate award. Where the qualification is not QQI-accredited, evidence of formal recognition by the awarding institution must be provided. Other equally appropriate supervision qualifications attained outside of Ireland will be considered eg UK, US, Australian equivalents. Acceptance of such qualifications outside of QQI will be at the discretion of ASI. QQI Stand alone modules or CPD events cannot be considered.
