Prof. Denis Ryan
Prof. Denis Ryan is President and Foundation Professor of Mental Health at ICHAS, with 50 years’ experience across academic and clinical practice. He recently chaired the design of the MA in Clinical Supervision in Professional Practice at ICHAS and teaches on the programme.
His doctoral research focused on work-related stress and coping; his postdoctoral research continues in this area and also examines workplace violence.
His academic appointments include the University of Limerick, KU Leuven (Belgium), the University of Hull, and the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Netherlands).

Dr James Kinane
James is a senior lecturer at Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences ICHAS and holds a BA in Philosophy and Psychology.
James has been an academic and clinical supervisor for over twenty years and is a lecturer in both supervision and addiction. He has a private practice in counselling and supervision
James is a Educational Psychologist and is a member of American Psychological Association APA. A member of ACI Addiction Counsellors of Ireland and APCP Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland
Qualifications:
PGCCE from University of Nottingham. MA in Clinical Supervision and Applied Practice from ICHAS. MDIV in Theology and MA from Mary Immaculate College in Limerick. PhD in Philosophy and HDCP Higher Diploma in Spirituality
